Shoreline failing light

About Project

From time to time, it is good to get away. My wife and I took a trip up the north shore and decided to get a good picture of the Split Rock Lighthouse. In truth, we were about 5 minutes too late to take advantage of the failing light to really show the lighthouse as it should be. But on our way back to the car, the color in the horizon from the other direction was captivating. I thought to myself, "what can I put in the foreground?". An easy little hike led us to this cliff side that presented a lot of detail with the shadows and contrasting ice formation. I hope you like it. This is one of my favorite photos of the trip.
